Steve

Steve grew up in the North of England and despite the temptation of Eccles cakes and chips ‘n’ gravy, developed an interest in nutrition and fitness.  Starting his career as a chef, with a focus on quality and dedication, he quickly rose to lead a chain of luxury boutique hotels.

All his life, Stephen has had a love of fitness including; rock climbing, kayaking and of course the gym.  In 2013 Stephen turned this personal passion into his full-time job, qualifying as an Advanced Level 3 Personal Trainer and launching SW Fitness.

Since qualifying Stephen has grown SW Fitness and personally.  SW Fitness is now a team of four, all committed with the same passion and values as Stephen. Stephen has grown both his own reputation and his fitness knowledge with qualifications coming out of his ears including; exercise referral, sports conditioning, spin instruction and group training.

Stephen says…. I love getting the best out of people, and working with people of all levels of fitness experience, and will encourage you with some cheeky banter.

 

Sam

Sam is Yorkshire man with a BA Hons in Creative Advertising, but it was Sam’s passion for sport that won when it came to a career.  Sam is both a team player and solo athlete, from Football to Badminton and Swimming, but Rugby League dominated where he trained at both County and Country levels.

Sam has been a qualified Level 2 Personal Trainer since 16, and became Level 3 qualified in 2015.  Sam delivers training session that are textbook correct, honed with years of first hand knowledge and a pinch of northern charm.

Sam says…. People often describe me as slightly mad, that’s just my enthusiasm for life!  I really want to bring the most out of people and help them achieve their goals.

 

Paul

Paul is from Devon and creates the North, South divide in the SW Fitness team.  He graduated with a BSc Hons in Building and Surveying and the Environment.

Paul has always been sporty with a focus on endurance events including Long Distance Running and Rowing, including rowing for his University.  Even when travelling Paul is looking for new sport and endurance challenges.

Paul quickly realised that corporate life wasn’t for him and quickly moved to qualify as a Personal Trainer.  Paul is strict in his own training and diet so is an excellent coach for those needing help with discipline.

Paul says…. Growing up in Devon was hard with all those cream teas, I learnt the importance of diet and focused exercise.  I’m happy to help anyone learn how to get the body they want!

 

Dan

Dan is a Nutritional and Rehab specialist, focusing specifically on knees, shoulders and lower back. His knowledge comes from well over 5 years as a professional trainer working with some of the most esteemed health professionals in the industry.

Dan is a competitive bodybuilder highly ranked throughout the UK. His nutritional approach comes from this background (not that you will be made to eat like a bodybuilder!) but everything you eat will serve a purpose to promote the healthiest and most effective change. Rather than creating a brand new meal plan with many new meals and timings, Dan likes to adapt your current diet to fit your goals, he’s found this has the best results with one of his clients losing 5st and 5 Dress sizes and another featuring in Mens’s Health.

Dan’s rehab background comes from working closely with the Oxford University sports teams physiotherapists and Osteopaths. Whilst on a postural rehabilitation course Dan moved to London and since then has worked closely under an acupuncture and manipulation lecturer and author.

Dans approach to training combines all of his previous training to create the most efficient and effective style of session. Pre-dominantly focusing on movement and power exercises with some adaptations and added conditioning to provide a fully comprehensive training package.
